EXECUTIVE BOARD • 1-YEAR TERM • VOTING POSITION

The League Rep position is a key role within our organization, responsible for representing and supporting our organization and ensuring its smooth operation. The League Rep plays an active part in various meetings and events, serving as a knowledgeable resource and contributing to the success of the organization.

The League Rep position is a 1-year term and holds a voting position. This leader will actively contribute to our organization’s success, foster positive relationships with families and participants, and supports the growth of the organization and relationship with the Monterey Bay Youth Football League.


Requirements

The position requires the following:
   - CPR Certification
   - Federal Background Clearance

*Both certifications must be obtained at the beginning of the season, and the associated costs are the responsibility of the individual.

Qualifications

The position requires the following qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills to represent the organization and articulate its mission
• Collaborative and team-oriented, actively contributing to discussions and striving for consensus
• Strong organizational and time management skills for effective task prioritization
• Demonstrates professionalism
• Familiarity with meeting procedures and ability to contribute effectively
• Strong problem-solving abilities to propose innovative solutions
• Genuine commitment and passion for the organization
• Flexibility and adaptability to different situations

Responsibilities of the League Rep:

1. Commitment to Attendance: Demonstrated ability and willingness to attend all Board and Booster meetings to actively contribute to organizational decision-making and planning.

2. Active Participation: Full engagement and participation in organizational events, including football games, cheer competitions, and parent events, to support the organization’s activities and foster a sense of community.

3. Representative Role: Willingness to attend MBYFL meetings as a representative, either in the absence of the President or when specifically requested, to ensure effective communication and collaboration between the organization and the league.

4. Legal Knowledge: Desirable understanding and familiarity with legal matters, preferably in the non-profit sector, to provide guidance and support in compliance with relevant regulations and governance requirements.

5. MBYFL Rule Book Familiarity: Comprehensive understanding and familiarity with the MBYFL Rule Book to facilitate organizational functions and ensure adherence to league regulations.
